AHEAD has made a difference in the health of mothers and children in Tanzania,  having touched the lives of more than 1 million people worldwide. The organization has achieved a reputation for implementing successful grassroots programs that combine problem-solving approaches with medical treatment, public health initiatives and education.

AHEAD maintains a full-time staff in Tanzania which is supplemented each year with a team of volunteers who work side by side with their African brothers and sisters to accomplish remarkable results.
