What wonderful "Friends" and partners AHEAD has forged through our 28 years of work with communities in need throughout the African Diaspora.  One such relationship is reflected by the continued generosity, support, and spiritual stewardship of our friends at North Bethesda Union Methodist Church, 10100 Old Georgetown Rd Bethesda, Maryland.  The unswerving dedication of the Missions Committee at NBUMC was brought to reality with their sponsorship of a fundraising Golf Event at the Little Bennett Golf Course in Montgomery County, Maryland on hosted on Friday, October 2, 2009. Some 22 golfers braved the cold for 5 hours of golf in support of AHEAD.  A wonderful day was had by all who participated, and AHEAD executive board members witnessed some truly inspired golfers at their advocation. 

All proceeds from this wonderful event were generously donated to AHEAD, Incorporated in support of our people-to-people initiatives focused on improving the human condition in Eastern Tanzania and the Gambia, with community-based partnerships and culturally-sensitive programming. Hats of to the Mission Committee and the parishoners of North Bethesda Union Methodist Church, for this steadfast, earnest, and continued generosity and support of the work of AHEAD, Incorporated.
