Greetings friends and family of AHEAD, Inc! AHEAD, Incorporated is continuing to make a palpable difference in the human condition! As a part of AHEAD's continued efforts in partnering with the people of Tanzania to improve their health care system and delivery mechanisms, on Monday, June 1, 2009 AHEAD, Inc. loaded another shipping container filled with medical and surgical supplies, cribs, cots, pediatric and adult crutches, orthopedic/physical therapy devices, electric medical beds, hemodialysis machines, and a variety of hospital / office furniture and equipment. This 40 foot container is the 5th such shipment that AHEAD has sent to Eastern Tanzania since June of 2008, and in doing so, AHEAD, Inc. has mobilized over $2,500,0000 of medical supplies to the people of Tanzania!

With this shipment, AHEAD has partnered with Muhimbili National Hospital, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to ship these materials directly, for immediate use in their facility.

The success that AHEAD has accomplished in this effort could not have been met without the gracious generosity of our local friends and partners in the Great Washington area. We extend our most sincere thanks and gratitude to Monica and Lawrence Guyot and the staff and administrators of the Gap Community Childcare Center of Washington, DC; Paul Grenaldo, Executive Vice President and his staff at Providence Hospital, Washington, DC; Eric Reiseberg, CEO, Specialty Hospitals of America and Robert King of Action Teranga, both of whom have been our most ardent and vocal community supporters throughout this effort. We also are indebted to the people of Springfield-Mercy/Community Hospital of Springfield, Ohio and Mr. Tom Kelly for their wonderful contributions.

In partnering with AHEAD, Inc, these committed associates have afforded the people of Tanzania some additional comforts and support as they struggle to improve their health. The physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff at Muhimbili National Hospital will be afforded many additional materials to help save lives and stamp out disease. Thousands of children will be able to sleep a little easier as they make their recovery from illness. Many mothers will have safer, less challenging deliveries and healthier neonates.

AHEAD, Inc remains committed to our effort to improve the health care facilities by providing needed equipment and supplies, and help the people of Tanzania and the Gambia live to their full potential. Our efforts are in congruence with our bylaws and in conjunction with the mandate set forth by the Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete and his Government as well as the United Nations Millennium Goals.
